Learning through puppet Show:
The core essence of NEP is experiential learning. Grade 8 students presented an English lesson -”How the Camel Got its Hump?” , as a puppet show. This boosted their confidence, showcased teamwork and encouraged the art of narration and puppet making and narrating a story that makes even the not so interesting stories memorable.
Class Election
Grade 8 believes that electing the class representatives should be done in a democratic way. The class leaders , Discipline leaders are elected by the students of Grade 8 by a fair and transparent election . This helps them to understand the importance of being a responsible voter, the process of selecting candidates, voting procedure, electoral officers, counting and announcing the results.The elected representatives are responsible for the discipline and conduct of the classes.
Grade 7 Students Present an Engaging Skit on Sherlock Holmes
As a part of Experiential Learning, the students of Grade 7A and 7B showcased their creativity and teamwork by presenting a skit based on a famous Sherlock Holmes story- The Mystery of the Blue Carbuncle. This activity provided them with an opportunity to step into the world of the great detective, enhancing their analytical and presentation skills.
The students took ownership of the performance—preparing the script, arranging props, and enacting their roles with enthusiasm. Their hard work and dedication were evident in the way they brought the story to life, making it an engaging experience for both participants and the audience.
This initiative not only helped them understand the nuances of storytelling and character development but also encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration—essential elements of experiential learning.
