World Environment Day 2026

World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2026, themed “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”

A special assembly featured a pledge, dance, and mime performance to highlight nature conservation. Students across grades participated in “Nature’s Guardians,” dressing as nature-inspired characters, with the best-presented students receiving certificates. The event encouraged all students to become responsible, environmentally conscious citizens.

 Sweet Start to the New Academic Year! 🍦🎉

Our little stars had a joyful first day at school filled with smiles, excitement, and fun.

We warmly welcomed the children as they stepped into their classrooms, ready to begin a new learning journey. To make the day extra special, the children enjoyed clicking adorable pictures at our colourful Ice Cream Selfie Stand, capturing sweet memories of their first day back at school.

The excitement continued with a creative "Build Your Own Ice Cream" activity, where the children enthusiastically designed and decorated their favourite ice cream creations. This hands-on activity encouraged imagination, creativity, and self-expression.

The day was filled with laughter, cheerful interactions, classroom exploration, and opportunities for children to reconnect with friends and teachers. Seeing their happy faces and eager participation made the first day truly memorable.

The school reopened with great enthusiasm and excitement as we welcomed our students back for the new academic year. The campus was filled with cheerful smiles, positive energy, and happy reunions among friends and teachers.

To make the first day enjoyable and comfortable for the students, teachers conducted various team-building activities in the classrooms. These activities helped students interact, bond with their classmates, and begin the year with confidence and cooperation.

Our Grade 10 students added a special touch to the occasion by warmly welcoming the students through a lively dance performance and a special assembly. Their efforts created a joyful and encouraging atmosphere for everyone present.

The teachers, Head Mistress, and Principal also warmly welcomed the students and addressed them with motivating words, encouraging them to make the best use of the opportunities in the new academic year.

We look forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, discipline, and success together.

Graduation Ceremony of Grade 10 ‘Trail Blazers’

The Graduation Ceremony of Grade 10 , ‘Trail Blazers ‘ was held at the school auditorium on Saturday, 31st January 2026, marking a significant milestone in the students’ academic journey.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by a video presentation highlighting the students’ life and journey at school. The Chief Guest, Ms. Celin Thomas Chacko, inspired the graduates with her motivating address. The Principal congratulated the students and acknowledged the support of teachers and parents. Candles were presented to the students, symbolizing the light of education they are to spread in the world. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and a vote of thanks.

Roboquest 2025 was a grand success!
Our students amazed everyone with innovative models—from AI projects and smart waste systems to flood-resistant bridges and sun-tracking sunflowers. Primary students shone with “Beyond the Borders – Power of Colours.”

Visitors also loved the 1886 Benz replica, East India Company ship, and working cable car.

Our students took the lead at this year’s Roboquest, showcasing incredible teamwork, technical skill, and grit. This gallery captures the journey from the pits to the final podium.

Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm. The Karnataka flag was proudly hoisted on 1st November.

On 5th November 2025, a special assembly was conducted under the guidance of the Kannada Department Teachers. The programme featured a patriotic song, a dance performance, and a quiz. It helped students understand the rich culture, language, and heritage of Karnataka while fostering pride in our state.

As part of the FIT India Movement, students actively participated in a series of fitness-focused activities. A special assembly was conducted and FIT India pledged was administered followed by a cycle rally that promoted physical wellness , fitness and environmental awareness. Additionally, various competitive games were organized to encourage teamwork, physical activity, and a spirit of healthy competition among students.

Grade 10 Graduation Day was conducted on Saturday, 1st February 2025, in the school auditorium. Girls were dressed smartly in gold and green sarees and boys in black suits. The chief guest of the day was Ms. T K Anuradha. The Grade 10 Graduation Day was conducted on Saturday, 1st February 2025, in the school auditorium. Girls were dressed smartly in gold and green sarees and boys in black suits. The chief guest was Ms. T K Anuradha, a distinguished scientist and director of the SATCOM Programme, ISRO HQ (Retd.).

The evening began with an invocation to the Almighty, followed by the graduates walking in a graceful persona. The lamp of knowledge was lit by the chief guest, director, and other dignitaries. Graduates were handed over candles and citations along with mementos by the chief guest and other dignitaries. The students also sang a song as a memoir to their alma mater and also spoke about their journey at Shiksha Sagar. Teachers also sang a song of blessing. The chief guest addressed the students about striving to achieve their dreams and to stay focused on their goals. Certain students were also presented with certificates of achievement. The Director of the institution, Headmistress, Principal, and other teachers wished the outgoing graduates the best in their future endeavors.

Shiksha Sagar high school had organised it's Annual Sports Day- ESPRIT 2024 on Saturday 21st December 2024 at Dairy Science ground, UAS campus Hebbal.
The chief guest of the day was Mr. Dayanand , the honourable Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City, the Guest of Honour was Ms. Niharika Reddy, international Basketball Player. The function was presided over by Mrs. Kannika Parameshwari, Trustee. Ms. Anusuya, Director of the institution, Headmistress Ms. Apsara Sai, Principal Mrs. Mini Sreedharan.
The event commenced with the ceremonial Guard of honour by the chief guest accompanied by the PE instructor Mr. Puttaswamy and the school student council.
The chief guest unfurled the flag and declared the sports day open.
March past by the four houses of the school was impeccable. Several displays from Barbie to Charlie Chaplin, Kamsale to Dolu kunitha and Kho kho to Gilli danda were breathtaking and vibrant.
The track events, novelty races and prize distribution were meticulously organised.
Parents and ex students too participated in races exclusive for them and won prizes.
The Mascots of the day were Tom and Jerry, who symbolized the theme Run, Jump and Cheer.
Mrs. Kannika Parameshwari declared the closure of the day.
It was a myriad of events, races, colours, displays and prizes.

Children’s Day was celebrated by teachers at school. Teachers presented a special assembly to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. The School prayer was followed by thought for the day , new word, news and significance of the day by teachers. A cultural program was also presented by teachers. An art competition -”What Children’s Day Means to Me” and “My Best Writing”, was conducted and the winners were given certificates of appreciation.

Students of Pre-KG and Grades 1-2 participated in the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration with great enthusiasm at Shiksha Sagar High School (Primary Wing). 

Amazing facts about Karnataka added to the knowledge of the audience. Students spread the fragrance of Kannada language with their spectacular dance performance.

The event generated a sense of pride in the minds of the audience, for being part of a culture that is so rich and vibrant.

Grade 9 students celebrated Onam in school. The day began with a special assembly dedicated to the festival. The children have dressed up traditionally. After a prayer, the significance of the festival was highlighted. Students spoke about what Onam means to them. They also presented a skit that showed why Onam is celebrated. They also danced to Malayalam songs and surprised the teacher with the authentic palada payasam.

Grade 10 students presented a special assembly combined with a cultural programme as a mark of respect to their teachers, on Teachers Day. The morning assembly included prayer, news, thought for the day all pertaining to the day dedicated to teachers. The students put up a skit in respect for teachers and also  entertained the teachers with a brilliant dance and song.

78th independence day with the theme Viksit Bharat was celebrated with grandeur on 15th August.
Hoisting the tricolor was followed by the national anthem.
The guest of honor, Director Anusuya Ma'am, was welcomed along with the gathering.
Students performed dances for patriotic songs. A group song in Kannada was renditioned melodiously.
Speeches by primary to high school students on topics such as My Contribution to My Nation, Viksit Bharat, and the famous speech of Pt. Nehru on 15th August 1947 were eloquent.
The impeccable march by the four houses of the school was the highlight of the day.
The best marching house Sanchi was awarded a trophy.
Winners of the art competition held to mark the 78th Independence Day were awarded with certificates of appreciation.
The freedom fervor was evident among the young and the old alike.

On 29th of June 2024 our school hosted an informative Drug Abuse Awareness Session  for students of Grade 6 to 10 conducted by Sanjaynagar police. This session was aimed at educating students about the dangers of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

The Police Sub Inspector engaged the students with real-life examples, interactive discussions, and a Q&A segment, ensuring that the information was both relatable and impactful. The session emphasized the importance of staying informed and vigilant about the risks associated with drug abuse.

We extend our gratitude to the Police Sub Inspector for taking the time to conduct this vital session and for contributing to the awareness and education of our students.

Shiksha Sagar High School's basketball team exhibited a stunning performance in the inter-school basketball tournament held on Sunday, 23rd June 2024. Demonstrating exceptional skill the team showcased teamwork, and sportsmanship and secured the best performance award in both the girls and boys under 16 year’s category. 

The tournament was hosted by Ballers Academy, teams from schools across the city  participated. Shiksha Sagar's team, led by captains Tejaswini  B M and  Syed Sulaik Rayyan showcased remarkable resilience and strategy throughout the competition. 

Coach Mr. Vinodh expressed immense pride in his team and attributed their success to the team’s unwavering dedication and practic. 

The victory has not only brought glory to Shiksha Sagar High School but has also inspired young students to pursue sports passionately. The school celebrated the team's success with a special assembly and awards were distributed . Congratulations to the team for their outstanding achievement!

The newly elected student council 2024-25 was administered the oath of office, on Saturday 22nd June 2024 by the Director of the School as a part of the Investiture Ceremony. The Director adorned the school Captain Akash Mondal with Sash, badge and the school flag. Also the Vice Captain Yashitha Sheety, Sports Captain Tejaswini B M, Vice Captain Manthan B were also given charges by the Director. The Head Mistress Ms Apsara Sai gave away the badges to the Captains of the four houses. Also the House Mistresses were given charge.

The Day also was special as the School Toppers of Grade 10 CBSE Board Exam 2023-24 were also felicitated for their excellent performance - Gowri Bhat the School Topper (97%) and the subject topper in Social Science(99) and Sanskrit(100), Farah Fatima S, the second school Topper(95%) and Darshith V the Third School topper (93%) and subject topper in Mathematics(99).

The 10th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Shiksha Sagar High School with utmost sincerity and dedication. Students of Grade 7 presented a special assembly on this year’s theme-“Yoga for Self and Society”. The day began with the assembly, followed by a synchronized yoga performance by students of Grade 6 to 10. A speech on the Significance of the theme was also given.

Celebration of National Reading Day on 19th June, 2024
Reading is a fundamental skill that serves as the cornerstone of education and personal development.
The National Education policy (NEp) of 2020, emphasizes providing access to high-quality children's literature to cultivate a reading culture across the country.
At Shiksha Sagar , the day was celebrated with a special assembly in accordance with the theme -”Read your Way”. Students of Grade 8 presented the assembly with a thought , new word and importance of reading and significance of Reading Day.

World Environment Day was celebrated on Wednesday 5th June 2024. This year’s theme was ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’. Students of Grade 9 presented a special assembly on the occasion. A pledge to Save Earth for Future was administered.A speech on the importance of the theme was also delivered. A dance performance on the theme added to the significance of the day. A colourful fancy dress show by students of Grade 1,2 and 3 added vibrancy to the day. It also marked the second edition of wealth out of waste, a programme by ITC which encouraged students to recycle dry waste which they exchanged for stationery.
