Student Council

The Student Council is an elected body, which is a prominent part of the students’ administration. It often serves as a body to engage students in learning about democracy and leadership. It consists of the School Captain, Sports Captain, School Vice Captain, Sports Vice Captain, along with Captains and Vice-Captains of the four Houses of the Council. The Council is assisted by member of the Junior Cabinet. The focal point of the council is that the houses are named after the Hindu universities, namely Nalanda, Vikramshila, Takshashila and Sanchi. Interestingly all the four houses are named after Gautam Buddha’s legacy.

Takshashila

Was established as a centre of religious and secular education and was known as the Vedic seat of learning. Many Chinese pilgrims visited this university. The bright yellow is the colour of this house.

Sanchi
